About
I’m Jason Cross, a product designer in the Orlando area. I’ve spent ten years designing consumer products, including privacy and consent at Meta. I’m now at Aptia, working on benefits and building the prototype our Sales team uses in every pitch.
I studied graphic design and computer science at the University of North Florida. I work on both the interface and the code behind a prototype. Outside my day job, I design, build and ship hobby apps for iOS and Android.

How I work
Clear choices
At Meta, I worked on consent and ad controls with Legal and Policy. For the GDPR flow, I gave both answers the same weight and explained what sharing the data means.
Working prototypes
At Aptia, I built the employee experience in React and Firebase. Sales uses it in pitches, and engineering is building toward the design.
Critique
I run the weekly design critique at Aptia and direct two agency designers. We work through the employee portal and mobile experience together.
Shared components
At GolfNow, I built a shared design system for web, iOS, Android and Apple Watch. It supported the mobile-first redesign.
